1972 World Final

In an unprecedented and somewhat controversial move Belle Vue staged the 1972 World Championship meeting on August Bank Holiday Monday.

The big race was heat 3 and basic camera technology at the time was unable to cope with the available evening lighting.  As a result there's only the couple of pits photos taken before the meeting to commemorate the event.   There's one on track image that has been subjected to manipulation to get to a usable standard.
